A sporadically behaved adolescent living in Sydney NSW, Australia. I moved from Singapore to Australia when I was 10; self-centered and ignorant. I grew up in Sydney; mature and ever-changing. I aim to finish Year 12 and go to a good university or college to study Graphic Designing and Fine Arts.

Sensitive to everything around me, my perceived ideas are constantly warped and transformed into a bigger and more sufficient understanding of my environments. Ignorance; evanescent to my memory after such advanced and pure knowledge of the earth, Mother Nature, love and life.

I play the piano, trombone, melodica, ukulele and a little guitar. These instruments give me the ability to breathe my thoughts clearer and replace them with newer and deeper ideas. Using vast amounts of emotion and dynamics, I express myself via the mere pitch and harmony of each song, phrase, and note.

I'm a faithful and devout Catholic. Protest against it, even make it ethically wrong; I'll die a blossoming martyr. God is everything to me. The atom, the nucleus, the cell, the organism, the species, the earth, the planets, the milky way, the galaxy, the universe, the light.

So it's that time of the year again. Where you get a year older, but you don't feel any different. It's like what Audrey Hepburn says:

"Success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you're exactly the same."

If you think about it, your body is slowly aging. Bones become brittler, sight gradually blurs, hearing turns into mumbles, organs become mush; I don't think that happens to a 17 year old though. Haha. But I just love imagining and visualizing the processes that take place when rapid aging occurs on the human body. Maybe I'm just strange. Maybe I should stay more positive as a birthday resolution. Is a birthday resolution even legal? Anyway.

I haven't been to excited about my birthday, because a lot has happened at the worst times. I didn't expect anything and I still don't. I want to be surprised, alarmed, amazed, astounded, bewildered, blown away, bowled over, confounded, confused, in consternation, dazed, dazzled, discomfited, disconcerted, dismayed, dumbfounded, electrified, flabbergasted, floored, jarred, jolted, left aghast, left open-mouthed, nonplussed, overwhelmed, perplexed, petrified, rattled, rocked, shook up, shocked, staggered, startled, struck dumb, struck with awe, stunned, stupefied, took aback, unsettled.

But most of all, I just want to experience happiness again.

I want to experience those nostalgic memories that can never be replaced, filled with celestial bliss, immense euphoria, and paradisaical happiness. They don't come to me often now. I've been unhappy, or neutrally charged for about 3 or 4 months now. It's disconcerting to know that it's difficult for me to be happy for such a long time. I've tried hiding it, bottling it up, ignoring it, and it obviously doesn't work. So I turned to music; the piano, ukulele, singing, the guitar, a kazoo. Still nothing. Then my most beloved; art.

Nothing. It's like the things I loved doing mocked me.

I guess feeling this was is normal after experiencing a loss. I know people say this all the time, but it's extremely difficult in terms of recovering from the shock, realizing that they're gone forever and getting back on track. I'm just not the kind of person to talk to anyone about things like that, and that didn't do any good. So I went to see the counselor; what a tremendous help. But the thing that pulled me through it all was God himself. He is phenomenal. There isn't an ocean too deep, a mountain so high that can keep me away! Haha, I love Sister Act.

For now, I'm still trying to stay positive. As Gloria Stuart, best known as the 101-year-old Rose in the film Titanic, says:

"When I was little I thought, isn't it nice that everybody celebrates on my birthday? Because it's July 4th."

In other news, as these holidays quickly spring up, I'll be sure to get back into submitting, since I haven't been for about 2 months now.

Also, whilst walking home the other day, I found a box of old books. Like, really old. I walked past it at first, but then it grabbed my attention. I decided to take them home. There's a collection of old encyclopedias, and French and German books. I'm really stoked now, because they inspired me a whole lot last night while I went though those books.

I also have an art assignment due next week, but I'll finish it soon and I'll take photos of it. It's gonna be epic cause I've never dont anything like it before.

But yes, I'm back... ish.
